Mandurian Stories... by you!

Humans of all ages and abilities are encouraged to contribute to Turner Book's upcoming anthology, Mandurian Stories.

We are looking for fiction, non-fiction, artwork, photographs, poetry, essays, interviews, and anything else you want to contribute. We particularly want to encourage submissions by local children, teens, artists, photographers, parents, teachers, business owners, musicians, scientists, gardeners, beach-lovers, poets, retirees, holiday-makers, and all other varieties of people.

This book will be in full colour, so please feel free to submit photographs and drawings as well as (or instead of) text. The artier, the better!

We are hoping to include chapters on the topics listed below, but all suggestions are welcome, and you don’t need to fit into any specific category. All we ask is that you keep it clean so children can enjoy this book, too.

If you have trouble writing, or aren’t sure what to say, we can send you an easy brainstorming questionnaire and information pack. We can even interview you in person and transcribe your words for you.

All contributors will receive a copy of the book, a VIP invite to the book launch, an author/illustrator credit, and (of course) the opportunity to be part of this collaborative community project.

Mandurian Stories has been made possible by Shape Mandurah, who are providing funding to this project through their Community Soup grant initiative. We are hugely grateful to Shape Mandurah for their support. All proceeds from the sale of print copies will be donated to Shape Mandurah, to be used for future community projects.

Please share this information with any community groups, clubs, schools, businesses or individuals who you think might be interested in getting involved.

Submissions can be sent to xanthe@turnerbooks.me with 'Mandurian Stories Submission' as the subject line. Submissions close on March 31st 2019.
